Natalia Alvarez

PhD student

Natalia  Alvárez completed her BSc in Biochemistry in 2019 and Master’s degree in Molecular Biotechnology in 2020 at the University of Barcelona. She joined Carlos Ardavín lab in July 2021 to work on the role of submesothelial resident macrophages in defense against peritoneal bacterial infections. In December 2023 she started her PhD on the design of immunotherapeutical strategies against colorectal peritoneal metastasis based on resident macrophage reprogramming. She has a broad experience in confocal microscopy, flow cytometry and transcriptomic analysis.
