María José Recio completed a PhD in 2003 at the University Complutense of Madrid, she worked as a Postdoctoral Scientist in the Genome Damage and Stability Center (Sussex University, UK) from September 2003 to December 2004, and since 2007 she holds an Assistant Professor position at the Department of Immunology of the School of Medicine of the Complutense University of Madrid. Her research is focused on the study of the immunological synapse and T-cell immunodeficiencies. In May 2024 she joined Carlos Ardavín’s lab as Visiting Scientist.
