Margarita Ferriz

PhD student

Margarita Ferriz worked  from September 2018 to November 2019 at Institute for Inflammation Research (Rigshospitalet, Denmark) to earn a Master degree in Immunology and Inflammation, and worked as Research Assistant from January to March 2020  at the same Institution. She joined Carlos Ardavín lab in September 2020 to start her PhD on the role of macrophages in the development of peritoneal colorectal tumor metatasis. From January to April 2024 she worked in Jan Van den Bossche’s lab (Academic Medical Centre; Amsterdam UMC) on peritoneal macrophage metabolism. Her research skills include in vivo models of intraperitoneal metatasis induced by mouse tumor organoids, confocal microscopy, cell biology and flow cytometry techniques.
